Activated Bamboo Charcoal – for pets 4 oz

$13.95

Activated Bamboo Charcoal is a great remedy to have on hand for pets. Unfortunately pets can get into substances that aren’t good for them which can make them sick or worse. Activated Bamboo Charcoal is a potent way to expel toxins from the body through a process of adsorption.  It binds to the toxin which is then flushed out through the bowel.  The faster the charcoal is administered the better.  Bamboo has a structure that when made into charcoal has a very large surface area.  This is important because the more surface area in the charcoal the more potent it is.  Charcoal has been used for hundreds if not thousands of years to treat both people and animals from a huge variety of ailments.  It’s easy to carry and I always have it with me.

Activated Bamboo Charcoal can be given for food poisoning, ingesting toxic substances, or eating a plant that is toxic.  In this case 1 gram of powder per pound of animal is a good ratio.  So a 50 lb dog would get 50 grams or about 1.7 ounces.  This can be repeated every 4-8 hours at half of the amount.  Charcoal can also be given as a detox substance for environmental toxins like pesticides.  It can be mixed into food or water.  In that case a much smaller dose would be used.  Charcoal can constipate animals so lots of water is important.

I also use Activated Bamboo Charcoal for my chickens.  I add it to their water and it helps to prevent illness.  Charcoal is being utilized in animal food because it greatly reduces the effects of mold toxins that are often prevalent in stored grains.  Large animals also benefit from charcoal use and adding it to their water is an easy way to administer it.

Wounds, infections, snake bites, and insect bites are just a few of the reasons you might want to use a charcoal poultice.  Poultices can be made by simply adding water to charcoal and mixing it to form a paste.  This paste then is applied to the area and if possible kept moist by a damp paper towel or wash cloth.  It can then be wrapped with plastic to further keep the moisture in.  Poultices can also include clay which helps to draw toxins and a jelly poultice can be made using flaxseed, cornstarch, or chia seed to the mixture.  (Snake bites should also be treated internally with charcoal)

Charcoal has so many benefits from everyday well being to injuries or poisoning, I recommend keeping several jars handy and I always have some in each car.  For more information on the benefits and uses of charcoal check out the book or website charcoalremedies.com.
