Chaga is a powerful medicinal mushroom that grows in the northern regions of the world. In Chinese medicine, it is known as the “Mushroom of Immortality”. It is anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-cancer. It has the ability to replenish your body where it needs the most help and adds great strength to your immune system. It is a tonic mushroom which means there is no maximum limit to how much you can take. In Siberia, they drink this tea daily as a health tonic to increase longevity.
This blend of Chaga and bamboo is great for any time of the day and can be made into a latte or chai like beverage. I really enjoy the taste. It has no mushroom flavor, no bitterness that comes out is an essence of vanilla mixed with earth tones. This in combination with the sweetness of bamboo is perfect hot or cold. It is almost like a black tea and so it works excellent as a coffee alternative. I substituted this for black tea with my kids and they drank it down without a peep. 🙂
I harvested this Chaga on family land in Northern Ontario. We only take a small percentage in order to preserve the integrity of the forest. The area that it comes from is quite remote and surrounded by only wilderness.
