Extracts are a great way to get the benefits of bamboo in a concentrated form.  This product is processed leaves and stems extracted over an extended time frame. It is not diluted in any way and is a powerful concentrate of bamboo.  Alcohol is highly effective at delivering the medicinal essence of plants and when taken orally is quickly assimilated into the body.  It is the fastest method of delivering plant medicine.  If it is too strong simply add the tincture to honey and blend.  Alternatively, it can be added to a hot beverage and the heat will dissipate the alcohol.  If you prefer an extract without alcohol try our glycerine extract.

Alcohol is effective at extracting alkaloids, flavonoids, resins, and essential oils.  It extracts a wide range of herbal elements although it is not great at extracting water-soluble elements like silica. If you are looking for the benefits of silica best to use the glycerine extract or the tea.

There are over 9000 flavonoids identified in bamboo most of which are deeply seated in the bamboo and challenging to extract. We do our bamboo extractions slow and with heat. This allows us to pull out as many components as possible. These compounds are deep in the bamboo and a fast extraction process will only result in a small number of these magical components. The alcohol tincture is best at extracting the anti-cancer, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, anti-ulcerogenic, anti-viral, as well as antioxidants compounds.

  • Improving cardiovascular health
  • Reducing inflammation
  • Healing the gut
  • Upper respiratory infections, sore throat, and coughs (best when added to raw honey)
  • Improving immune function

The recommended dosage is 1/2 of a dropper under the tongue and leaves for 30 seconds or more 2-3 times a day.  Alternatively, add 2-10 drops into a beverage. The 1oz bottle should last about 10 days.
